My school offers a program to prepare its pre-med/dent students for the application and interview process for professional school. Students are evaluated in two mock interviews with faculty members and receive immediate feedback.
Yesterday was my first interview— and it went very well! My faculty mentor walked through my biographical form and provided many valuable tips for streamlining the flow of information and giving the document a unified feel, both of which fall under my design philosophy. She also gave strong feedback on interview questions.
I was especially happy to learn that she loved my personal statement and felt my writing is something that sets me apart from other medical school applicants. I have made a conscious effort to improve my writing since graduating high school, so it feels good to know I’ve made progress. :)
