My parents left India for the US a shade over three decades ago. They were in their mid-20s.
Imagine starting completely over in a brand new country on the other side of the world. Knowing no one. Having no connections. Being immersed in a familiar but-still-foreign language. Imagine starting and building a life. Becoming part of a community. Working long, hard hours to provide a good, healthy life for your children. To pay for quality education. To put your children in a definite position to succeed.
You will excuse me if I don’t respond well to unfounded attacks on their character filled with ungrateful, disrespectful language. They don’t deserve that. Not one bit.
